International Day of Persons with Disabilities on Tuesday
On 3 December, the World will be observing the International Day of Persons with Disabilities and this year’s theme is ‘Break barriers, open doors: for an inclusive society for all’. IARU Region 1 suggests that 3 December is used to promote amateur radio among disabled persons by demonstrating how anyone with disabilities can become an amateur. Several special event stations are likely to be on the air around Region 1 of the IARU.
