Regions 6 and 7 competition in March
A competition has been launched by RSGB Regions 6 (North Wales) and 7 (South Wales) that will take place throughout March.
The aim is to encourage both individual RSGB members, as well as Affiliated Clubs in Wales, to build their own resonant 21MHz antenna and make as many QSOs as possible on the 21MHz band during the month.
There are four categories to enter:
- 25W multimode (voice / CW / data)
- 25W voice only (all voice modes)
- 100W multimode (voice / CW / data)
- 100W voice only (all voice modes)
Competition rules:
- Make as many QSOs as you can from your home QTH on the 21MHz band
- You are able to work the same station on multiple occasions throughout the month
- You must use a homebrew wire antenna, which is resonant on 21MHz
- Download an entry form and submit your completed version to Simon Taylor, MW0NWM via rr6@rsgb.org.uk by 7 April 2025
Certificates and Club Trophy:
Certificates will be issued to the top three stations in each of the four categories.
On each individual entry form, there is the opportunity to list any Region 6 and 7 Affiliated Clubs that you are a member of. The total number of QSOs submitted by club members will be added together and divided by the number of members taking part to give an average QSO count per club. The club with the highest average QSO count will be awarded the 21MHz Challenge Plaque.
