News for Northern Ireland – 8 July 2018
Today, a crew of six from Bushvalley Amateur Radio club, MN0GKL, will be leaving Carrickfergus harbour bound for the Maiden Islands and one of the lighthouses. The islands are 13 miles off the north coast of Northern Ireland, WAB D41 and IOTA EU-122. The club will be operating on HF/VHF & UHF bands. The exact time and island are tide dependant but looks to be late afternoon. Please keep an eye on all social platforms as they will be publishing live information. This will hopefully also be a WW Flaura and Fauna Activation.
