It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my father, Wallace Smith, G0NSE, who became a silent key on the 16th of February 2016 at the age of 90. He was an RAF wireless operator and worked at GCHQ, retiring after 50 years of service. Dad spent many hours on the key both before and after he retired.
