We are deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Hans Berg, DJ6TJ, who died on 18 February 2015 at age 72 in a hospital in Luebeck, Germany.
Hans was German national amateur radio society DARC’s International Liaison Officer from 1982 until 2003. He also chaired the HF Committee of IARU Region 1 for nine years and served in different IARU working groups.
Hans received the DARC Golden Honour Pin in 1985 and the Rudolf-Horckheimer-Prize in 2004. He also was an RSGB Life Vice President.
Until a few weeks ago Hans has been a regular contributor and adviser to the ongoing activities of DARC’s International Affairs Committee.
Hans will be truly missed and we will always remember him.
