We start with news from clubs that have several events this week. Thornton Cleveleys Amateur Radio Society is closed on Monday, Next Saturday and Sunday sees activities for Field Day plus planning for the 2m Trophy. Contact John E. Rodway, G4FRK, on 01253 862 810.

Mexborough and District Amateur Radio Society is preparing for the contest and doing an equipment check on Tuesday. Friday sees the start of the Contest weekend for HF Field day at Phoenix Park. Details from Darrell, G0FUO, on 07887 423 221.

Stockport Radio Society is holding a meeting on Tuesday. Next Saturday and Sunday it’s the first part of the two-weekend Foundation course. Details from Heather Stanley, on 07506 904 422.

Denby Dale Radio Club is having a talk on Wednesday by G3SDY on using an antenna analyser to check antennas, coax, traps and more. Next Sunday the club is taking part in the WAB 144MHz QRO Contest from 1000 to 1400 GMT. Contact Darran, G0BWB, on 07974 423 227.

Halifax and District Amateur Radio Society has an open net on 145.400MHz from 7.30pm on Wednesday. Thursday sees a net in association with the West Yorkshire branch of RAFARS on 145.350MHz from 7pm.
