Bob was transmitting on 29.499kHz under a US Part 5 Experimental licence using the callsign WH2XBA\/1. His very slow-speed CW signal was initially detected in the UK just before 0000UTC on 3 March. Paul also copied a 29.501kHz transmission from Dex, W4DEX, in North Carolina, who was operating as WH2XBA\/4.
