Important information for all Newsreaders<\/h3>\n

As you know, the RSGB receives special dispensation from Ofcom\u00a0for you to broadcast the news, an activity otherwise prohibited within\u00a0the amateur radio licence.<\/p>\n

Ofcom now wish to\u00a0update this dispensation by issuing each newsreader with their own Notice of Variation (NoV) to their licence.<\/p>\n

The process for this is quite straightforward,\u00a0and mirrors the NoVs that they have recently issued for 5 MHz and 472 KHz.<\/p>\n

Please go\u00a0to www.rsgb.org\/gb2rsnov<\/a> where you will receive instructions on how to\u00a0complete an on-line application.<\/p>\n

When you have\u00a0completed and submitted the form, you will receive\u00a0your NoV by email.<\/p>\n

The information you will need to supply\u00a0is as follows;<\/p>\n

Name<\/strong>
\nMain Station Address<\/strong>
\nCall sign<\/strong>
\nLicence number<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Nov will be valid for 3 years and will be renewable for as long as you continue to read the news.<\/p>\n
