We are looking for a volunteer to lead our EMC Committee as it moves forward in helping to protect the radio spectrum.\u00a0 The current Chairman John Rogers M0JAV is now a Board member, so a replacement is sought.<\/p>\n

The RSGB EMC committee<\/a> provides the following services to its members:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Help and advice with EMC issues<\/li>\n
  2. Lobbying and representation on UK and International Standards Committees and with Ofcom<\/li>\n
  3. Publishing information and technical updates<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Previous experience in EMC matters is desirable but experience in leading a team of dedicated individuals with differing areas of technical, standards and legislative expertise is more important. The team has been evolving its strategy with emphasis on providing a better service to its members and representing all UK radio amateurs in protecting the spectrum from fast growing threats to the radio spectrum from other devices.<\/p>\n

    The committee meets face to face 3 times a year and holds conference calls in between meetings.<\/p>\n
