{"id":49074,"date":"2026-07-17T16:58:16","date_gmt":"2026-07-17T15:58:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/?p=49074"},"modified":"2026-07-17T17:14:48","modified_gmt":"2026-07-17T16:14:48","slug":"rsgb-outreach-team-supports-the-wings-jamboree","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/blog\/news\/gb2rs\/headlines\/2026\/07\/17\/rsgb-outreach-team-supports-the-wings-jamboree\/","title":{"rendered":"RSGB Outreach Team supports WINGS Jamboree"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Members of the <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/outreach\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>RSGB Outreach Team<\/strong><\/a> are attending the <a href=\"https:\/\/wingsjamboree.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>WINGS Jamboree<\/strong><\/a> in Windsor between 26 and 30 July 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The team will be showcasing amateur radio to Scouts and Girlguiding members aged between six and 14, who will have the opportunity to test their <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/operating\/morse\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Morse<\/strong> <\/a>skills through the ever-popular Morse Battleships game.<\/p>\n<p>The team will be activating special event callsign GB1WINGS over the period, and the youngsters will have the opportunity to make supervised on-air contacts across the UK and internationally.<\/p>\n<p>The team welcomes your support and encourages you to make QSOs on the HF bands and via the QO-100 satellite.<\/p>\n<p>Please check the <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/operating\/dx-cluster\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>DX Cluster<\/strong><\/a> for frequency details.<\/p>\n<p>QSL will be via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qrz.com\/db\/GB1WINGS\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>QRZ<\/strong><\/a>, eQSL and Logbook of the World after the event.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Members of the RSGB Outreach Team are attending the WINGS Jamboree in Windsor between 26 and 30 July 2026.
