{"id":48971,"date":"2026-07-10T16:00:22","date_gmt":"2026-07-10T15:00:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/?p=48971"},"modified":"2026-07-10T16:17:58","modified_gmt":"2026-07-10T15:17:58","slug":"upcoming-iaru-region-1-conference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/blog\/news\/gb2rs\/headlines\/2026\/07\/10\/upcoming-iaru-region-1-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"Upcoming IARU Region 1 Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The<a href=\"https:\/\/www.iaru.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong> IARU Region 1<\/strong><\/a> Conference is held every three years.<\/p>\n<p>The next one is in September 2026 and will be hosted by the Austrian member society <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oevsv.at\/oevsv\/english-content\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>\u00d6VSV<\/strong><\/a>, which is also celebrating its centenary.<\/p>\n<p>Reports and proposals on a wide range of amateur radio topics are available from the <a href=\"http:\/\/conf.iaru-r1.org\/documents\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>conference website<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The scope includes the more regular topics such as band plans, spectrum matters, EMC, and youth.<\/p>\n<p>This particular event will also consider updates for amateur radio development, operating, and organisational matters.<\/p>\n<p>The RSGB has contributed several inputs.<\/p>\n<p>More about the event will be shared on the Society\u2019s comms channels, and in a future edition of <a href=\"http:\/\/rsgb.org\/radcom\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><em>RadCom<\/em><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The IARU Region 1 Conference is held every three years.
