Why did you choose to volunteer with the RSGB? <\/strong>I volunteered because on retirement in 2021 I realised that as a chartered accountant I had a particular set of skills and knowledge, and I wanted to use those skills in a volunteer role. The role of Honorary Treasurer<\/strong><\/a> was the ideal fit.<\/p>\n

How long have you been an RSGB volunteer? <\/strong>I have been an RSGB volunteer for more than four years.<\/p>\n

What would you say to people who are thinking of volunteering? <\/strong>As an RSGB volunteer you will learn a lot about the RSGB and amateur radio as well as developing our shared hobby. Having been an RSGB member for more than 40 years, I have learnt a lot more about the RSGB in the four years as a volunteer, along with a lot more about other aspects of the hobby. It has surprised me in a very positive way.<\/p>\n

Which aspect of amateur radio would you still like to try?<\/strong> Currently learning CW<\/strong> <\/a>and would like to make CW contacts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
