{"id":46746,"date":"2026-03-30T17:34:38","date_gmt":"2026-03-30T16:34:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/?p=46746"},"modified":"2026-03-30T17:34:57","modified_gmt":"2026-03-30T16:34:57","slug":"rsgb-board-february-key-messages","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/blog\/news\/rsgb-notices\/2026\/03\/30\/rsgb-board-february-key-messages\/","title":{"rendered":"RSGB Board \u2013 March key messages"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Following its meeting in March 2026, <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/board\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>the RSGB Board<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0has shared these key messages:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Audit<\/strong> \u2013 the 2025 Audit had been successfully concluded and there were no matters revealed which concerned the Board. This had been the case for several years and the Board congratulated the Financial Controller and her staff on this very satisfactory outcome. Board noted that the annual independent audit was a re-assurance to both Directors and members that the Society&#8217;s financial affairs were being properly conducted.<\/li>\n<li><strong>AGM\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 work to plan the AGM and the post-AGM session continued at pace. Voting was open and members would be encouraged to vote to endorse two Nominated Directors and to elect two Elected Directors.<\/li>\n<li><strong>National Hamfest<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 the Board considered how best to demonstrate the hobby and the services the Society offered its members. Recruitment of new members would be especially important. Board decided to emphasise \u2018taking part\u2019 in the displays and stands it would set up and work to plan this further will continue.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Convention<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 work to plan the Convention continued, aimed at building on the successful and popular events held over the last few years.
