Heritage School in Cambridge is home to Heritage School Electronics & Radio Club (G7HSC).<\/strong><\/h4>\n

We spoke with Jon Bonsor-Matthews, M0NOJ, teacher and club leader, and heard why he chose to affiliate with the RSGB.<\/h4>\n

Why did you choose to affiliate your school’s club with the RSGB?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Primarily for the QSL Bureau, and also for sharing RadCom.<\/h4>\n

How would you say RSGB affiliation benefitted your club?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The students are enthused when they get to take a RadCom home. Fingers crossed QSL cards will start to arrive soon!<\/h4>\n

Which of the affiliated club benefits have you made use of? <\/strong><\/h4>\n

Each month a different student gets to take the latest edition of printed RadCom home.<\/h4>\n

We like to have our club\u2019s activities promoted to inspire others, although our students love to read about themselves too!<\/h4>\n

We are making use of the QSL Bureau, and we know that by affiliating our club to the RSGB, we are helping to protect the spectrum for future generations.<\/h4>\n

What would you say to another school club considering whether to affiliate with the RSGB?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The students have loved reading about their activities and those of other youngsters in RadCom. We have a map in school on a pinboard, to track our QSLs and are looking forward to pinning up QSL cards as we receive them.<\/h4>\n
