How long have you been licensed?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

I received my licence in 1955, I was 19 years old then. It was a difficult time just ten years after WWII and the only way to take part in amateur radio was DIY.<\/h4>\n

And how long have you been a member of the RSGB?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

I became a member of RSGB in July 2005. From 2008 to 2023 I was a GB2RS<\/a><\/strong> newsreader.<\/h4>\n

What would you say is the best thing about RSGB membership?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

There are many things I enjoy as a member of the RSGB but most important for me nowadays is the warm friendship I experience.<\/h4>\n

Have you used the RSGB app to view RadCom?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

I prefer reading the paper edition of RadCom. If I was younger, I would certainly consider the more modern media.<\/h4>\n

What would you say to someone considering whether to join the RSGB?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

If you are interested in becoming a member of a large international community, I would recommend to join the Society. I have never regretted it.<\/h4>\n

Which is your favourite mode?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

My preferred mode nowadays is SSB on 40 and 80m. I did a lot of DX on 2m, 15m and 20m, but that\u2019s a long time ago now!<\/h4>\n
