{"id":45091,"date":"2026-01-30T16:19:49","date_gmt":"2026-01-30T16:19:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/?p=45091"},"modified":"2026-01-30T16:28:24","modified_gmt":"2026-01-30T16:28:24","slug":"make-sure-you-are-aware-of-changes-in-the-rsgb-2026-band-plans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/blog\/news\/gb2rs\/headlines\/2026\/01\/30\/make-sure-you-are-aware-of-changes-in-the-rsgb-2026-band-plans\/","title":{"rendered":"RSGB Band Plans: key changes you need to know"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The RSGB 2026 Band Plans were published in the recently released February 2026 edition of <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/publications-archives\/radcom\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><em>RadCom<\/em><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>They are now also available at <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/bandplans\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>rsgb.org\/bandplans<\/strong><\/a> in a wider variety of formats, including more detailed change notes.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s changes address a handful of key topics, including updates to the 5MHz band plan to emphasise correct operating, which comes in the light of out-of-band FT8 usage and Ofcom monitoring concerns.<\/p>\n<p>Updates at 50MHz have been made to accommodate new repeater inputs which use a wider 1MHz split, easing the implementation of their duplex filters.<\/p>\n<p>In the 430MHz UHF band, provision for low power <em>ad hoc<\/em> repeaters and some editorial updates have also been made.<\/p>\n<p>As Band Plans change over time, please ensure you only refer or link to the current ones on the RSGB website and remove any older ones you have saved locally.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, we note that some websites and unofficial usage charts have obsolete information and urge that these are all removed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The RSGB 2026 Band Plans were published in the recently released February 2026 edition of RadCom.
