The Club is an approved RSGB Examination Centre for those wishing to study and take their amateur radio exams.<\/p>\n<p>The Club is holding free workshops for all local radio amateurs over the winter months. The next workshop, \u2018An Introduction to Raynet\u2019, is being held on Wednesday, 28 January at Tondu Railway Club, Station Approach, Bridgend, CF32 9DY and starts at 7.30pm.<\/p>\n<p>More details can be found on the Club&#8217;s Facebook page. Mark, 2W1MRK, 07972 336 885<\/p>\n<p>Carmarthen Amateur Radio Society is holding a quiz night from 6.30pm on Tuesday. So, there will be no digital net that evening. Three other nets will be taking place this week: a 70cm FM net on GB3CM on Wednesday starting at 7.30pm; a 2m FM net on GB3FG on Thursday starting at 8pm, assuming the repeater is available.\u00a0If it is not, then XLX490D is the fallback;\u00a0and an 80m SSB net, conditions permitting, on Sunday starting at 2.30pm, with an experimental 40m net following on immediately afterwards.<\/p>\n<p>For more information contact Andy, GW0JLX on 07768 282 880.<\/p>\n<p>Chepstow and District Amateur Radio Society\u00a0meets on the first and third Tuesday of every month from 7.30pm in the Scout Hut next to the British Legion\u00a0on Grahamstown Road, Sedbury, Chepstow, NP16 7AD. New and old members are always welcome.<\/p>\n<p>The Society has a fully equipped shack for member use which also houses the GB3YA repeater, with an Echolink connection, via GB3YA-R.
