{"id":41415,"date":"2025-07-25T13:41:46","date_gmt":"2025-07-25T12:41:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/?p=41415"},"modified":"2025-07-25T14:15:24","modified_gmt":"2025-07-25T13:15:24","slug":"rsgb-submits-response-to-consultation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/blog\/news\/rsgb-notices\/2025\/07\/25\/rsgb-submits-response-to-consultation\/","title":{"rendered":"RSGB submits response to consultation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The prospect of a USA constellation of 240 commercial satellites that would use 430 to 440MHz for wideband control and telemetry, has prompted an unprecedented response from the amateur radio community to a Federal Communications Commission, or FCC, consultation.<\/p>\n<p>FCC Proceeding 25-201 would see AST SpaceMobile utilise much of 430 to 440MHz for downlinks as well as a series of ground stations around the world.<\/p>\n<p>The RSGB and several other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iaru.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>IARU<\/strong> <\/a>member societies, along with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arrl.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>ARRL<\/strong> <\/a>and over 2,000 individuals, have submitted comments to this consultation.
