Toby, MM0TSS is a GB2RS newsreader who broadcasts on 2m from Whitecraigs in Southwest Glasgow. One of his favourite things to tell people about GB2RS<\/strong> <\/a>is the unusual call-ins that they occasionally receive.<\/p>\n

One was from Graham, MM0GHM, a radio amateur from Galston in Ayrshire, who works on the railways. During the summer season he is a guard on the famous Royal Scotsman Train.<\/p>\n

When within range of the GB2RS transmission, Graham listens in from the guard\u2019s compartment on the train. Graham is also known to call in during the after-news net; sometimes the call will be whilst the train is in motion, sometimes from a siding and others whilst at the marshalling yard.<\/p>\n

Graham has called from locations including Springburn Sidings in April 2022, Helensburgh in August 2022 and Cowlairs in May 2024.<\/p>\n
