Note that the challenges from &#8216;Galileo&#8217;, as well as amateur digital innovations in the 1.3GHz band, were recognised at an early stage, before the more recent WRC-23 process&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>2007: <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/files\/2024\/12\/Vienna-2007_B15-23cms-Bandplan.pdf\">Vienna-B15\u00a0 &#8211;\u00a0 23cms Bandplan<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>2008: <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/files\/2024\/12\/CT08_C5_13-RSGB-23cms-Narrowband-Image-and-Data.pdf\">Cavtat C5-13 &#8211; 23cms Narrowband Image and Data<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>2008: <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/files\/2024\/12\/CT08_C5_19-RSGB-A-New-Vision-for-23cms.pdf\">Cavtat C5-19 &#8211; A New Vision for 23cms<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>2011: <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/files\/2024\/12\/SC11_C5_42-RSGB-1298-1300-MHz-Band-Plan.pdf\">SunCity C5-42 &#8211; 1298-1300 MHz Band Plan<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong> (inc 150 kHz DD)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>RSGB volunteers have continued to be engaged; including in CEPT\/ITU and contributing 23cm papers and updates into national and IARU meetings.<\/p>\n<p>The WRC-23 process developed ITU Recommendation <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/rec\/R-REC-M.2164\/en\">ITU-R M.2164<\/a><\/strong> for which IARU have this <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.iaru-r1.org\/2023\/itu-r-recommendation-m-2164-on-23cm-amateur-service-and-rnss-operations-now-published-in-time-for-wrc-23-discussions\/\">explanatory page<\/a>. <\/strong>This is expected to flow down into a CEPT ECC Decision during 2025<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following are past contributions by RSGB to IARU regarding 23cm band planning.
