{"id":35952,"date":"2024-12-06T12:49:32","date_gmt":"2024-12-06T12:49:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/?p=35952"},"modified":"2024-12-06T12:49:32","modified_gmt":"2024-12-06T12:49:32","slug":"volunteers-needed-for-world-wide-award-contest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/blog\/news\/rsgb-notices\/2024\/12\/06\/volunteers-needed-for-world-wide-award-contest\/","title":{"rendered":"Volunteers needed for World Wide Award contest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The<a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/radio-sport\/rsgb-contest-club\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong> RSGB Contest Club<\/strong><\/a> recently announced that it is looking for volunteers to take part in the second<a href=\"https:\/\/hamaward.cloud\/wwa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong> World Wide Award<\/strong> <\/a>event taking place in January 2025.<\/p>\n<p>To be part of the team you will need to be an <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/join-us\/join-the-rsgb\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>RSGB member<\/strong><\/a> and hold a <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/clubs-training\/for-students\/full\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Full Licence<\/strong><\/a>. QSOs can be made using SSB, CW and digital modes. <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/clubs-training\/for-students\/foundation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Foundation<\/strong> <\/a>or <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/clubs-training\/for-students\/intermediate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Intermediate<\/strong> <\/a>licensees can join in under supervision or take part in WWA as award chasers.
