{"id":34858,"date":"2024-06-28T15:20:13","date_gmt":"2024-06-28T14:20:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/?p=34858"},"modified":"2024-06-28T15:30:39","modified_gmt":"2024-06-28T14:30:39","slug":"gr2hq-challenge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/blog\/news\/gb2rs\/headlines\/2024\/06\/28\/gr2hq-challenge\/","title":{"rendered":"GR2HQ Challenge"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>We are looking forward to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rsgbcc.org\/challenge.lnk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>IARU HF Championship contest<\/strong><\/a> on 13-14 July 2024, and there is a great opportunity for you to get involved in a different way this year.<\/h4>\n<p>During the contest, <em>Headquarters Stations<\/em> represent their countries and the RSGB\u2019s station GR2HQ will be run by a network of about a dozen stations around the UK and islands.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>A new challenge<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>This year, the <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/about-us\/committees\/hf-contest-committee\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>RSGB Contest Committee<\/strong><\/a> has introduced a new challenge to encourage individual stations to work the GR2HQ station on each band-mode slot.<\/p>\n<p>You will be able to submit your log, including QSOs with GR2HQ, to the RSGB contest robot for the GR2HQ Challenge.<\/p>\n<p>If you include your club or group name when you submit your log, each QSO with GR2HQ will count towards an aggregate score for your club or team.<\/p>\n<p>There will be two results tables, one for individuals taking part and one for clubs, so your QSOs can contribute to both!<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Individuals or clubs &#8211; get involved!<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Why not encourage your club members to take part in this special challenge whether they are regular contesters or not.<\/p>\n<p>By contacting the GR2HQ station you\u2019ll also help the RSGB\u2019s position in the contest\u2014last year we came third and we\u2019d love to improve that result.<\/p>\n<p>For more information see the <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.services\/\/public\/radcom\/GR2HQ_challenge_Radcom_June24.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>June 2024 <em>RadCom<\/em> feature<\/strong><\/a> (PDF) and for the full rules go to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rsgbcc.org\/hf\/rules\/2024\/gr2hq.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>GR2HQ Challenge page<\/strong><\/a> on the Contest Committee website.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are looking forward to the IARU HF Championship contest on 13-14 July 2024, and there is a great opportunity for you to get involved in a different way this year.
