{"id":33142,"date":"2023-10-13T08:56:20","date_gmt":"2023-10-13T07:56:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/?p=33142"},"modified":"2023-10-13T12:51:55","modified_gmt":"2023-10-13T11:51:55","slug":"rsgb-2023-construction-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/blog\/news\/gb2rs\/headlines\/2023\/10\/13\/rsgb-2023-construction-competition\/","title":{"rendered":"RSGB 2024 Construction Competition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The RSGB recognises the importance of construction as a key element of amateur radio, whether that is using traditional construction skills or is a software or systems engineering project.<\/p>\n<p>The Society has launched its 2024 Construction Competition and the deadline for entries is 1 March 2024.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-33143 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/files\/2023\/10\/Construction-competition-image-294x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"294\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/files\/2023\/10\/Construction-competition-image-294x300.jpg 294w, https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/files\/2023\/10\/Construction-competition-image-1004x1024.jpg 1004w, https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/files\/2023\/10\/Construction-competition-image-147x150.jpg 147w, https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/files\/2023\/10\/Construction-competition-image-768x783.jpg 768w, https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/files\/2023\/10\/Construction-competition-image.jpg 1181w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 294px) 100vw, 294px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To enable members across the country, and even the world, to enter, entries will be judged over the internet rather than in person.<\/p>\n<p>This year a new category of antennas has been introduced so there are five categories you can enter:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Beginners<\/li>\n<li>Construction Excellence<\/li>\n<li>Innovation<\/li>\n<li>Software and Systems<\/li>\n<li>Antennas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Special recognition will be given to entries submitted by radio amateurs under the age of 24, and to those who have just gained their Foundation licence.
