{"id":32840,"date":"2023-08-25T15:44:08","date_gmt":"2023-08-25T14:44:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/?p=32840"},"modified":"2023-08-25T15:45:06","modified_gmt":"2023-08-25T14:45:06","slug":"iaru-region-1-general-conference-proposals-and-papers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/blog\/news\/gb2rs\/headlines\/2023\/08\/25\/iaru-region-1-general-conference-proposals-and-papers\/","title":{"rendered":"IARU Region 1 General Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.iaru-r1.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>IARU Region 1<\/strong><\/a> will hold its next General Conference from 1 to 4 November 2023 in Zlatibor, Serbia.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/conf.iaru-r1.org\/documents\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>A wide range of papers and proposals are now available online<\/strong><\/a> and the RSGB welcomes comments on these.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Topics include<\/strong>: general reports; organisational and budget proposals; the new HF Bandplan; VHF, UHF and SHF changes; and consideration of WRC-23, the World Radiocommunication Conference, which follows shortly afterwards.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other themes include<\/strong>: strategic projects and progress,\u00a0accommodating digital technologies, contests, EMC and other spectrum matters.<\/p>\n<p>Comments should be forwarded to the relevant <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/about-us\/honorary-officers\/hf-manager\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>HF<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/about-us\/honorary-officers\/vhf-manager\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>VHF<\/strong> <\/a>or <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/about-us\/honorary-officers\/microwave-manager\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Microwave<\/strong><\/a> spectrum manager, by Thursday 12\u00a0October, in order to allow time to finalise the RSGB position.<\/p>\n<p>You can find a link to the consultation via <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/rsgb-consultations\/iaru-consultations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>the consultations page on our website<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>IARU Region 1 will hold its next General Conference from 1 to 4 November 2023 in Zlatibor, Serbia.
