{"id":32663,"date":"2023-07-28T15:59:20","date_gmt":"2023-07-28T14:59:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/?p=32663"},"modified":"2023-07-28T16:39:00","modified_gmt":"2023-07-28T15:39:00","slug":"bar-coded-stamps","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/blog\/news\/gb2rs\/headlines\/2023\/07\/28\/bar-coded-stamps\/","title":{"rendered":"Barcoded stamps"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From 31 July 2023, you should not apply non-barcoded stamps with <span class=\"ILfuVd\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"hgKElc\">Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II<\/span><\/span>\u2019s image to any mail.<\/p>\n<p>In doing so the sender or recipient may have to pay a surcharge.<\/p>\n<p>This news is highlighted to radio amateurs who use stamped-addressed QSL card envelopes.<\/p>\n<p>Please ensure all stamped-addressed envelopes have valid barcoded stamps on them.<\/p>\n<p>This only applies to stamps with Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II\u2019s image on them and does not apply to stamps which have other pictures on them.<\/p>\n<p>These can continue to be used.<\/p>\n<p>Royal Mail will exchange all non-barcoded stamps with new barcoded ones for free.<\/p>\n<p>To do this, download a form from the Royal Mail website, complete it and include it alongside the stamps that are being returned.<\/p>\n<p>For more information, and to download a form, visit the <a href=\"http:\/\/royalmail.com\/sending\/barcoded-stamps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Royal Mail website<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From 31 July 2023, you should not apply non-barcoded stamps with Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II\u2019s image to any mail.
