{"id":31946,"date":"2023-04-21T16:58:10","date_gmt":"2023-04-21T15:58:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/?p=31946"},"modified":"2023-04-21T17:32:06","modified_gmt":"2023-04-21T16:32:06","slug":"rsgb-board-chair-announced","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/blog\/news\/gb2rs\/headlines\/2023\/04\/21\/rsgb-board-chair-announced\/","title":{"rendered":"RSGB Board Chair announced"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Following the <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/agm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>AGM<\/strong><\/a> on Saturday, 15 April 2023, a brief Board meeting was held to consider necessary appointments.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/about-us\/board-of-directors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Board<\/strong><\/a> was aware that Stewart Bryant, G3YSX\u2014who had been in a dual role since the <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/blog\/news\/gb2rs\/headlines\/2023\/02\/17\/rsgb-board-changes-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>recent resignation<\/strong><\/a> of Richard Horton, G4AOJ\u2014had expressed a willingness to continue as Chair if required.<\/p>\n<p>It was agreed that Stewart should be co-opted to the Board under the terms of Article 37 and was asked to join the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>He was then elected unanimously to serve as Chair until the 2024 AGM.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Following the AGM on Saturday, 15 April 2023, a brief Board meeting was held to consider necessary appointments.
