Mike was a volunteer for the Society, having been a member of the RSGB VHF Committee and then progressing to Chairman of the VHF Committee in the 1990s. He was well known by the VHF\/UHF fraternity, particularly by those members participating in the UKAC contesting events. His funeral, in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire was attended by ex-members of the RSGB VHF Contest Committee, the VHF Committee and the Barry Amateur Radio Society.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mike Adcock, G8CMU, formerly GW8CMU, passed away on 17 November 2021, following a routine operation in hospital.
