{"id":26466,"date":"2021-01-15T15:50:39","date_gmt":"2021-01-15T15:50:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/?p=26466"},"modified":"2021-01-15T15:52:33","modified_gmt":"2021-01-15T15:52:33","slug":"emc-committee-publishes-emf-calculator","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/blog\/news\/gb2rs\/headlines\/2021\/01\/15\/emc-committee-publishes-emf-calculator\/","title":{"rendered":"RSGB EMC Committee publishes EMF calculator"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The RSGB&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/about-us\/committees\/electromagnetic-compatibility-committee\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>EMC Committee<\/strong><\/a> (EMCC) has updated the <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/emf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>EMF web page<\/strong><\/a> which contains information on the new licence requirement to assess EM Fields.<\/p>\n<p>Most notably, as agreed with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ofcom.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ofcom<\/strong><\/a> last month, the EMCC has published its calculator, which incorporates the Ofcom calculator but adds a front end specifically for radio amateurs.\u00a0This calculator will be updated if Ofcom publishes any updates to its own calculator.<\/p>\n<p>The calculator is currently an evaluation version and the EMCC welcomes feedback to help it move towards a final one.
