{"id":26068,"date":"2020-11-10T13:22:13","date_gmt":"2020-11-10T13:22:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/?p=26068"},"modified":"2020-11-10T13:22:13","modified_gmt":"2020-11-10T13:22:13","slug":"get-on-the-air-for-christmas-gota4c","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/blog\/news\/rsgb-notices\/2020\/11\/10\/get-on-the-air-for-christmas-gota4c\/","title":{"rendered":"Get on the air for Christmas (GOTA4C)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/gota2c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>\u2018Get on the air to care\u2019<\/strong><\/a> campaign that the Society has been running with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhs.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>NHS<\/strong><\/a> since April, we\u2019re launching a new focus for Christmas.<\/p>\n<p>Called \u2018<strong>Get on the air for Christmas<\/strong>\u2019 and shared on social media with the hashtag <strong>#GOTA4C<\/strong>, it will bring together a few activities that radio amateurs can participate in over the holiday period. It will run from Saturday 19 December to Saturday 9 January.<\/p>\n<p>We know that Christmas can be difficult for many at the best of times, but with the extra restrictions due to Covid-19 we want to make sure that every radio amateur feels part of a caring amateur radio community.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re kicking off the campaign by asking clubs that are planning special nets for Christmas Day and Boxing Day, or indeed any time over the holiday season, to send details to <strong>radcom@rsgb.org.uk<\/strong> so we can publish them in the next RadCom issue, in the GB2RS news scripts and on our RSGB website.<\/p>\n<p>Further information about the other activities in the campaign will be added to the campaign <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/gota4c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>web page<\/strong><\/a> over the coming weeks.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As part of the \u2018Get on the air to care\u2019 campaign that the Society has been running with the NHS since April, we\u2019re launching a new focus for Christmas.
