He suffered a serious head injury following a motorbike accident in 2001.<\/p>\n<p>A fuller tribute is in the process of being prepared and an obituary will appear in the October 2020 edition of <em>RadCom<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>If you knew Peter and would like to add a tribute, please email sk@rsgb.org.uk<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>I was sadden to read of the passing of Peter Sheppard, G4EJP as he was instrumental in me gaining my A licence back in 1977. At the time I was a member of the Farnborough and District Radio Society and Peter helped a number of us practice for our Morse test at the army base in Aldershot, where he was serving at the time.<\/p>\n<p>I remember him as a great character who was always enthusiastic and ready to help us budding radio amateurs.<\/p>\n<p>He will be sadly missed.<\/p>\n<p>Mark Edwards, G4GDY<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We were saddened to receive news that RSGB Past-President Peter Sheppard, G4EJP passed away on the 15th of August 2020.
