{"id":25329,"date":"2020-07-03T17:05:53","date_gmt":"2020-07-03T16:05:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/?p=25329"},"modified":"2020-07-03T17:05:53","modified_gmt":"2020-07-03T16:05:53","slug":"iaru-appoints-new-emc-coordinator","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/blog\/news\/gb2rs\/headlines\/2020\/07\/03\/iaru-appoints-new-emc-coordinator\/","title":{"rendered":"IARU appoints new EMC Coordinator"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iaru.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>IARU<\/strong><\/a> Administrative Council has appointed Martin Sach, G8KDF, as global Electromagnetic Compatibility Coordinator, succeeding Tore Worren, LA9QL.<\/p>\n<p>The EMC Coordinator\u2019s mission is to ensure that the concerns and needs of radio amateurs are effectively addressed in international standards bodies, particularly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iec.ch\/emc\/iec_emc\/iec_emc_players_cispr.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>CISPR<\/strong><\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.itu.int\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>ITU<\/strong><\/a>, as well as in regional telecommunication organisations and at national levels through IARU member societies.<\/p>\n<p>Assisting in the effort is a network of volunteers with expertise in the field of EMC.<\/p>\n<p>Martin is also the RSGB IARU EMC Liaison.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The IARU Administrative Council has appointed Martin Sach, G8KDF, as global Electromagnetic Compatibility Coordinator, succeeding Tore Worren, LA9QL.
