{"id":25189,"date":"2020-06-12T18:04:50","date_gmt":"2020-06-12T17:04:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/?p=25189"},"modified":"2020-06-12T18:04:50","modified_gmt":"2020-06-12T17:04:50","slug":"lockdown-vhf-nfd-rules-announced","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/blog\/news\/gb2rs\/headlines\/2020\/06\/12\/lockdown-vhf-nfd-rules-announced\/","title":{"rendered":"Lockdown VHF NFD rules announced"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>VHF NFD is the next big event on the RSGB contest calendar, scheduled for 4 and 5 July 2020.<\/p>\n<p>It can\u2019t be run in its normal multi-operator format, so the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rsgbcc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>RSGB Contest Committee<\/strong><\/a> has designed an interesting alternative for single operator stations.<\/p>\n<p>The rules have been set for fixed stations only.<\/p>\n<p>If within two weeks of the event the Government guidance changes sufficiently, the rules to allow portable operation may be changed.<\/p>\n<p>The format of the Lockdown VHF NFD is a five-band, club-based event, loosely based around the AFS rules and UK Activity Contest sections.<\/p>\n<p>Each band has its own two or three hour operating slot during the weekend, with time between them to allow for equipment changes to take place.<\/p>\n<p>Full rules at <a href=\"http:\/\/rsgbcc.org\/vhf\/rules\/20rules\/ldvhfnfd.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>rsgbcc.org\/vhf\/rules\/20rules\/ldvhfnfd.shtml<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>VHF NFD is the next big event on the RSGB contest calendar, scheduled for 4 and 5 July 2020.
