{"id":23359,"date":"2019-10-13T16:30:52","date_gmt":"2019-10-13T15:30:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/?p=23359"},"modified":"2019-10-13T16:34:24","modified_gmt":"2019-10-13T15:34:24","slug":"2019-construction-competition-winners","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/blog\/news\/gb2rs\/headlines\/2019\/10\/13\/2019-construction-competition-winners\/","title":{"rendered":"2019 Construction Competition winners"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The winners of the 2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/about-us\/rsgb-convention\/annual-rsgb-construction-competition-2019\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">RSGB Construction Competition<\/a> were announced today at the RSGB Convention in Milton Keynes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Judges&#8217; Merits went to:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Russell Tribe, G4SAQ<\/strong>, for his Low Earth Orbit satellite antenna tracking controllers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>David Holman, M0YDH<\/strong>, for his Digital Amateur TV system<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dean Brice, G0UIL,<\/strong> for his Bluetooth satellite antenna controller<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In the main categories, the winners were:<\/p>\n<p>Innovation category &#8211;\u00a0<strong>Mike Willis, G0MJW<\/strong>, for his Dual-band feed system.<\/p>\n<p>Construction category &#8211; <strong>John Quarmby, G3XDY<\/strong>, for his Solid state amplifiers for 2m, 70cm and 23 cm.<\/p>\n<p>Software category &#8211; <strong>Heather Lomond, M0HMO<\/strong>, for her Software DATV receiver.<\/p>\n<p>Supporting and Encouraging Beginners category &#8211; <strong>Kevin Ayriss, G8MXV<\/strong>, for his Magnetic loop antenna controller.
