{"id":22802,"date":"2019-07-29T14:28:59","date_gmt":"2019-07-29T14:28:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/?p=22802"},"modified":"2019-07-29T19:57:19","modified_gmt":"2019-07-29T19:57:19","slug":"vlt-key-message","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/blog\/vlt_key_messages\/2019\/07\/29\/vlt-key-message\/","title":{"rendered":"July 2019 VLT meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>20 July 2019 &#8211; VLT meeting key messages:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Updates on<strong> personnel changes since the AGM <\/strong>were given, both at Board and Regional level.<\/p>\n<p>Three presentations took place, looking at several priorities from <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/strategy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>RSGB<\/strong> <strong>Strategy 2022<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Organisation:<\/strong> We will see the introduction of four <strong>delivery teams<\/strong> within the Society\u2019s volunteer structure (Operating, Learning, Innovation and Representation). The new structure will simplify communications across our whole team of volunteers, which will in turn hopefully lead to a better service being provided to Members and clubs. More detail will follow in October\u2019s RadCom.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Growth:<\/strong> Following a presentation on aspects of<strong> Future <\/strong>and<strong> Growth<\/strong>, discussions took place on defining the hobby and ensuring its continued attractiveness to newcomers. There was much passionate discussion on this matter. More to follow at the <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/convention\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">RSGB Convention<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Growth <\/strong>and<strong> Participation:<\/strong> An update was provided on the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/trainthetrainers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Train the Trainers<\/a> <\/strong>course, and suggestions for dates and venues for 2020\u2019s programme were requested.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>20 July 2019 &#8211; VLT meeting key messages: Updates on personnel changes since the AGM were given, both at Board and Regional level.
