This leaflet explains how to recognise VDSL interference and summarises the measures that people have found that helped to reduce the interference. It must be emphasised that these are things you can\u00a0<em>try<\/em>\u00a0and they are not guaranteed to eliminate the problem at all locations. Indeed in some locations none of these suggestions reduce the problem significantly. It can be found at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/emcleaflet15\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>rsgb.org\/emcleaflet15<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(7-page\/564KB PDF) and links to other EMCC publications on VDSL are also included.<\/p>\n<p>There is still time to organise a Thinking Day on the Air station, which takes place over the weekend of 16 and 17 February 2019. Currently, as well as UK stations, Guides and Scouts are taking part from Canada, USA, and the Netherlands. A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.guides-on-the-air.co.uk\/station-list.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>list of known stations<\/strong><\/a> can be found at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.guides-on-the-air.co.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>guides-on-the-air.co.uk<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Six News<\/em> 138 is now available for UK Six Metre Group members to download from their website. It contains 47 pages of news and comment dedicated to 6m\u2014get it from <a href=\"http:\/\/uksmg.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>uksmg.org<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>One area where the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.iaru.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>IARU<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and RSGB volunteers have been active is regarding concerns from wireless power transmission, or WPT. The latest development is the recent approval and publication of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cept.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>CEPT<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0ECC Report-289 on high power WPT for electric vehicles, EV. Following a major effort and numerous contributions to CEPT meetings, this has significant content regarding amateur radio and concerns on spurious emissions. Comments by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.iaru-r1.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>IARU Region 1<\/strong><\/a>, RSGB and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ofcom.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Ofcom<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0were included during the final consultation stage. The report is a key element in ongoing work for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/en\/ITU-R\/conferences\/wrc\/2019\/Pages\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>WRC-19<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0Agenda Item 9.1.6 on WPT-EV.
