{"id":21371,"date":"2019-01-11T15:45:01","date_gmt":"2019-01-11T15:45:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/?p=21371"},"modified":"2019-01-11T15:45:01","modified_gmt":"2019-01-11T15:45:01","slug":"two-d-star-satellites-deployed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/blog\/front-page-news\/2019\/01\/11\/two-d-star-satellites-deployed\/","title":{"rendered":"Two D-Star satellites deployed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On 27 December 2018 a Soyuz launch deployed two German satellites, D-Star ONE \u2013 Sparrow and D-Star ONE \u2013 iSat.<\/p>\n<p>The beacons have been successfully received from both satellites, which each carry a D-Star repeater.<\/p>\n<p>They uplink on 437.325MHz and downlink on 435.525MHz.<\/p>\n<p>The December Soyuz flight also deployed the UWE-4 1U CubeSat carrying a 70cm AX.25 digipeater, with an uplink\/downlink frequency of 437.375MHz.<\/p>\n<p>AMSAT Germany has reported that in-orbit testing of the P4-A amateur radio transponders on Es\u2019hail-2 has begun but amateurs should not attempt to transmit on the Es\u2019hail-2 uplink.<\/p>\n<p>When all in-orbit testing has been successfully completed, the satellite will be moved to its final orbital position at 26\u00b0 East and availability announcements will be made.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 27 December 2018 a Soyuz launch deployed two German satellites, D-Star ONE \u2013 Sparrow and D-Star ONE \u2013 iSat.
