Tony saw action in Korea and in Egypt during the Suez Crisis, and while stationed in Cyprus he operated as ZC4TB.<\/p>\n<p>Dad was a long time member of the RSGB and the Chiltern DX Club (CDXC), he was an excellent operator and highly talented electronics engineer.<\/p>\n<p>He will be much missed by his friends and family.<\/p>\n<p>Tribute by Nigel Blake (son)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sadly Tony Blake passed away on the 15th March 2018, aged 84.\u00a0He had a lifelong fascination with radio and electronics stemming from his time in the Royal Signals as a radio operator in the 1950s.
