{"id":19242,"date":"2018-02-09T15:32:56","date_gmt":"2018-02-09T15:32:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/?p=19242"},"modified":"2018-02-09T15:32:56","modified_gmt":"2018-02-09T15:32:56","slug":"four-countries-add-5mhz-band","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/blog\/news\/gb2rs\/headlines\/2018\/02\/09\/four-countries-add-5mhz-band\/","title":{"rendered":"Four countries add 5MHz band"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lots of news this week for the 5MHz band.<\/p>\n<p>Following extensive discussions with their regulator, Czech amateurs can access both the new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/en\/ITU-R\/conferences\/wrc\/2015\/Pages\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WRC-15<\/a> 60m amateur secondary allocation of 5351.5 to 5366.5kHz and their existing 12 60m channels.<\/p>\n<p>The WRC-15 allocation is available on an individual permit basis, with a maximum power of 15W EIRP.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nzart.org.nz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New Zealand national society<\/a> has negotiated a licence to allow limited operation by ZL amateurs on 60m on a trial secondary basis with no interference to primary users.<\/p>\n<p>Operation centres on 5353kHz and 5362 to 5364kHz, with a maximum output of 10dBW EIRP.<\/p>\n<p>The Icelandic telecoms regulator will now permit access to the new WRC-15 60m allocation from 5351.5 to 5366.5kHz on a secondary basis with a maximum power of 15W EIRP, but has ended the previous experimental licence privileges.<\/p>\n<p>Argentinean amateurs may now use the new WRC-15 amateur 60m secondary allocation of 5351.5 to 5366.5kHz, with a regional maximum power limit of 25W EIRP.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lots of news this week for the 5MHz band.
