{"id":14338,"date":"2016-02-15T12:01:28","date_gmt":"2016-02-15T12:01:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/?p=14338"},"modified":"2016-02-15T12:20:41","modified_gmt":"2016-02-15T12:20:41","slug":"elections-2016-unopposed-nominations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/blog\/uncategorized\/2016\/02\/15\/elections-2016-unopposed-nominations\/","title":{"rendered":"Elections 2016 &#8211; Unopposed nominations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The closing date for nominations for directly elected Board Directors and Regional Managers has now passed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Presidential Election<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nick Henwood, G3RWF, is elected unopposed for a two year term as his was the only nomination received.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Board Elections<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There were two vacancies for directly elected Directors, and two nominations were received.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Len Paget, GM0ONX (current Board Director)<\/li>\n<li>Dr Stewart Bryant, G3YSX (current Board Director)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Both candidates are, therefore, elected unopposed for a three year term.<br \/>\n<strong>Regional Elections<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There were Regional Manager vacancies for nine Regions (Regions 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 13). The following have been elected unopposed for a three year term since they were the only nominations received. There will a vote in Region 4, details of which will be in the April 2016 RadCom.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Region 1 Marcus Hazel McGown, MM0ZIF (currently co-opted as Regional Manager, Region 1)<\/li>\n<li>Region 3 Kath Wilson, M1CNY (currently co-opted as Regional Manager, Region 3)<\/li>\n<li>Region 6 Ceri Lloyd Jones, 2W0LJC<\/li>\n<li>Region 8 Philip Hosey, MI0MSO (currently Regional Manager Region 8)<\/li>\n<li>Region 9 Tom O\u2019Reilly, G0NSY (currently DRM 91)<\/li>\n<li>Region 13 James Stevenson, G0EJQ<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The terms of office for all of the above elected Members will commence at the AGM on 23 April 2016.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The closing date for nominations for directly elected Board Directors and Regional Managers has now passed.
