{"id":13305,"date":"2015-09-18T10:29:49","date_gmt":"2015-09-18T10:29:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/?p=13305"},"modified":"2015-10-06T13:24:50","modified_gmt":"2015-10-06T13:24:50","slug":"press-release-uk-exam-changes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/blog\/news\/rsgb-notices\/2015\/09\/18\/press-release-uk-exam-changes\/","title":{"rendered":"Changes to the management of UK amateur radio examinations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>On 1 October 2015, responsibility for the management of the radio amateur examinations system passed from the RCF to the RSGB.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These new arrangements are contained in a schedule of terms agreed between <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ofcom.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ofcom<\/a> and the RSGB.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/thersgb.org\/publications\/exams\/schedule-of-terms-between-ofcom-and-rsgb-conduct-amateur-radio-examinations.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Schedule of Terms between Ofcom and the Radio Society of Great Britain on the conduct of Amateur Radio Examinations<\/a> (12-page\/217KB PDF)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This will allow the <a href=\"http:\/\/commsfoundation.org\/?page_id=69\" target=\"_blank\">RCF trustees<\/a> to focus on their charitable work, and will further streamline the administration of the examinations, building on the foundation established over the last eight years.<\/p>\n<p>Examinations will continue to be available to all, regardless of RSGB membership, and these changes will have minimal impact on the conduct of the examinations at local level.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 1 October 2015, responsibility for the management of the radio amateur examinations system passed from the RCF to the RSGB.
