{"id":12819,"date":"2015-07-03T14:51:47","date_gmt":"2015-07-03T14:51:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/?p=12819"},"modified":"2015-07-03T14:56:44","modified_gmt":"2015-07-03T14:56:44","slug":"12819","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/blog\/news\/gb2rs\/headlines\/2015\/07\/03\/12819\/","title":{"rendered":"Guildford Space Colloquium soon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The AMSAT-UK International Space Colloquium will be held 24 to 26 July at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.higuildfordhotel.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Holiday Inn, Guildford<\/a>, GU2 7XZ.<\/p>\n<p>Among the speakers will be Peter Guelzow, DB2OS with an update on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amsat-dl.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">AMSAT-DL<\/a> projects, including the Phase 4 satellite and Chris Brunskill, formerly of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.surrey.ac.uk\/ssc\/\" target=\"_blank\">Surrey Space Centre<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He will be presenting a novel project aimed at schools and education.<\/p>\n<p>It is hoped the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.batc.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">BATC<\/a> will be able to demonstrate live digital TV reception from the International Space Station, using the Ham TV system.<\/p>\n<p>Drew Glasbrenner, KO5MA, from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amsat.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">AMSAT North America<\/a> will be presenting the latest news of the FOX satellites due for launch later this year, and also on their Phase 4 project.<\/p>\n<p>The Colloquium is open to all.<\/p>\n<p>Further information can be found on the <a href=\"http:\/\/amsat-uk.org\/colloquium\/colloquium-2015\/\" target=\"_blank\">AMSAT-UK website<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The AMSAT-UK International Space Colloquium will be held 24 to 26 July at the Holiday Inn, Guildford, GU2 7XZ.
