{"id":8360,"date":"2013-09-08T17:59:06","date_gmt":"2013-09-08T17:59:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/?page_id=8360"},"modified":"2022-01-05T23:07:36","modified_gmt":"2022-01-05T23:07:36","slug":"operating-guidelines","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/operating\/operating-guidelines\/","title":{"rendered":"Operating Guidelines"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/operating\/dx-code-of-conduct\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7323\" src=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/files\/2013\/05\/DXcoc.gif\" width=\"468\" height=\"60\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>For many years the RSGB has been working to promote good operating practice, not only to ensure that operating is fun, but also to reduce the frustrations that cause some to disrupt operating for others.<\/p>\n<p>The RSGB therefore gave strong support in 2008 to the Belgium Society&#8217;s (UBA) proposal that booklet &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.iaru-r1.org\/on-the-air\/code-of-conduct\/versions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ethics and Operating Procedure for Radio Amateurs<\/strong><\/a>&#8220;, should be endorsed (and subsequently owned) by the IARU.<\/p>\n<p>More recently, through a recommendation by the RSGB, the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/operating\/dx-code-of-conduct\/\">DX Code of Conduct<\/a><\/strong> has been endorsed by the IARU. \u00a0This is aimed at the DX operator and DXpeditioner.<\/p>\n<p>All members are encourage to study these two sources of operating procedure and to take pride in working to their standards.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For many years the RSGB has been working to promote good operating practice, not only to ensure that operating is fun, but also to reduce the frustrations that cause some to disrupt operating for others.
