Welcome to our first newsletter for youth members. This is a new project by the RSGB Youth Committee and we’ll be publishing an edition every month.

Our plan is for the newsletter to be sent to RSGB youth members as a benefit of membership, but we’re making the first few editions available on the website for every young radio amateur to read.

Why are we introducing the newsletter?

Firstly, we want to show off your achievements, no matter how big or small, and celebrate your successes. Secondly, we want to showcase the things you can do with your amateur radio licence and RSGB youth membership that you might not have heard of. Finally, we want to be able to talk to you, our youth members. Whether that be letting you know of an upcoming event or something new to get involved with, we hope this makes the Committee more approachable and tangible for the people we represent.

How you can get involved

We want all RSGB youth members to have the chance to publish their stories in the newsletter. Even if your success is just making your first QSO on a handheld radio – let us know about it!

To send in a story or discuss the requirements for one, just email Leon, M0VUF via youth.chair@rsgb.org.uk and we’ll work out how to get your content published.

Read the newsletter

Click on the links below to read each newsletter edition. We hope you’ll enjoy the content and be inspired to get involved in a new activity or send in your own story.

We’re always happy to receive feedback too, so if there’s something you really enjoyed or a feature you’d like to see in a future edition – let us know at the email above.
