RSGB National Radio Centre<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Tuesday 6 October \/ <\/span>Wednesday 7 October \/<\/span> Thursday 8 October <\/span>– two talks per day, <\/span>one at 11am and another at 2.30pm, each lasting approx. 90 minutes. <\/span>These sessions are open to the public and can be booked via the Bletchley Park website<\/strong><\/a>.<\/span><\/h4>\n

RSGB volunteers will be presenting introductory talks and demonstrations at the RSGB National Radio Centre<\/strong><\/a>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>The talk will include an initial explanation of satellite functions and typical orbits in space. It will cover tracking low earth orbiting (LEO) satellites, including the International Space Station and how you can receive signals and data from amateur satellites both at home and as part of a school space project. During the session you will be able to send a radio signal into space and hear your voice relayed by a geostationary satellite. <\/span><\/h4>\n

Whilst the talks are free to attend,\u00a0<\/span>you will still need to purchase your admission ticket to the Bletchley Park museum<\/strong><\/a>. P<\/span>laces to the sessions are limited and on a first come basis.<\/span><\/h4>\n

There is also a talk <\/span>at 2.30pm on Friday 9<\/span> October for<\/span> RSGB Members a<\/span>ttending the NRC open afternoon as part of the RSGB Convention<\/strong><\/a> weekend. RSGB Board Director Patrick, 2E0IFB will be giving a more detailed talk about LEO satellites to RSGB Members <\/span>. <\/span><\/h4>\n

RSGB Members can gain free entry to Bletchley Park by downloading a voucher.<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/h4>\n
