sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In celebration of the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, the RSGB ran amateur radio activities with associated operating awards.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The closing date for applications for the awards is <strong>31 October 2022<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>The 2022 Commonwealth Games Award<\/h3>\n<p>This award ran from 28 July to 31 August.<\/p>\n<p>Amateur radio operators and shortwave listeners worldwide were invited to have or hear QSOs with as many of the 72 Commonwealth countries as possible during this period.<\/p>\n<p>You will need to record your progress in the Commonwealth Games Award Checklist spreadsheet which you can download from the link below.<br \/>\n<a name=\"commonwealth_games_award_checksheet\"><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/thersgb.org\/events\/cmwgames\/commonwealth_games_award_checksheet.xlsx\"><strong>Commonwealth Games Award checklist<\/strong><\/a> (24KB\/MS Excel Worksheet)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Awards are available at different levels and for either mixed modes or single mode (SSB, CW or Data):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Bronze Award<\/strong>: 12 countries in mixed modes or 8 countries in a single mode<\/li>\n<li><strong>Silver Award<\/strong>: 20 countries in mixed modes or 12 countries in a single mode<\/li>\n<li><strong>Gold Award<\/strong>: 26 countries in mixed modes or 18 countries in a single mode<\/li>\n<li><strong>Diamond Award<\/strong>: 32 countries in mixed modes or 24 countries in a single mode<\/li>\n<li><strong>Platinum Award<\/strong>: 40 countries in mixed modes or 30 countries in a single mode<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applications for this award should be made to the RSGB Awards Manager at <strong>awards@rsgb.org.uk<\/strong> using the Commonwealth Games Award application form\u00a0which you can download from the link below.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a above<\/strong><\/a>\u2014containing details of all applicable contacts.<\/p>\n<p>Applications must be received by the RSGB Awards Manager by <strong>31 October 2022<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>The GB22 Award<\/h3>\n<p>An additional single-level GB22 Award is available for working, or hearing, at least four of the eight special event stations (SES) that were in operation during the games:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>GB22HQ<br \/>\n<\/strong> Call sign for operation at the special event station in Birmingham, England<\/li>\n<li><strong>GB22GE<br \/>\n<\/strong>For activation in England<\/li>\n<li><strong>GB22GW<br \/>\n<\/strong>For activation in Wales<\/li>\n<li><strong>GB22GM<br \/>\n<\/strong>For activation in Scotland<\/li>\n<li><strong>GB22GI<br \/>\n<\/strong> For activation in Northern Ireland<\/li>\n<li><strong>GB22GD<br \/>\n<\/strong>For activation in the Isle of Man<\/li>\n<li><strong>GB22GU<br \/>\n<\/strong>For activation in Guernsey<\/li>\n<li><strong>GB22GJ<br \/>\n<\/strong>For activation in Jersey<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applications should be made to the RSGB Awards Manager at
