Mr Godley, whose US callsign was 2ZE, came to the UK as the representative of the ARRL for the Second Transatlantic Tests held from 8 to 17 December 1921.<\/p>\n<p>During negotiation with Ofcom for the special callsign GB1002ZE, CRAG also received from them the invitation that <strong>&#8220;any radio amateur in the UK or Crown Dependencies may participate in these celebrations by adding the suffix \u201c\/2ZE\u201d to their station&#8217;s normal callsign.&#8221; This will apply from 1 to 26 December 2021 and does not require any individual authorisation from Ofcom.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-27964\" src=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/files\/2021\/09\/Godley-2ZE-home-station.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"95%\" height=\"664\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/files\/2021\/09\/Godley-2ZE-home-station.jpg 816w, https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/files\/2021\/09\/Godley-2ZE-home-station-300x244.jpg 300w, https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/files\/2021\/09\/Godley-2ZE-home-station-150x122.jpg 150w, https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/files\/2021\/09\/Godley-2ZE-home-station-768x625.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 816px) 100vw, 816px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: 10px\">Copyright Bruce Littlefield, used with their kind permission<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The RSGB encourages UK amateurs to take advantage of the opportunity to use this special suffix.
