He is a remarkable and effective leader, building a strong team spirit and ensuring awareness of current spectrum issues both in UK and Internationally.<\/p>\n<p>Murray led the major team effort at WRC-19, resulting in remarkably positive outcomes. These included harmonizing 50MHz and pushing back an imminent threat to 144 MHz, as well as significant positive progress on Wireless Power Transfer<\/p>\n<p>Murray would be the first to acknowledge the expert input by the members of his team, however, his personal leadership, energy and ability to stay friendly and focused, in the face of international players with conflicting agendas is the cornerstone of our success<\/p>\n<p>He is a stand-out candidate for the award of the Calcutta Key.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Founders&#8217; Trophy<\/h2>\n<p>Nominated by the <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/about-us\/board-of-directors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">RSGB Board<\/a><br \/>\nfor\u00a0outstanding services to the Society.<\/p>\n<p>Awarded to\u00a0<strong>Murray Niman, G6JYB;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>John Regnault, G4SWX; Barry Lewis, G4SJH; Dave Court, G3SDL\/EI3IO<\/strong>\u00a0and their international colleagues<\/p>\n<p>For their significant contributions to the RSGB &amp; IARU submissions for WRC-19 (World Radio Conference)<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Jock Kyle Memorial<\/h2>\n<p>Nominated by the <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/about-us\/board-of-directors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">RSGB Board<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gmdx.org.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">GMDX Group<\/a><br \/>\nto the Scottish club, society or RSGB member thought to have done most in\u00a0Scotland in the field of VHF during the past year.<\/p>\n<p>Awarded to\u00a0<strong>David Anderson, GM6BIG<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In recognition of his many years of excellent work as the builder and keeper of the GB3CSB microwave beacon cluster. He is a long-time champion of the Scottish repeater networks and a long-term \u2018enabler\u2019 of other people&#8217;s VHF-UHF-microwave projects. He is a supporter and presenter at the GM Microwave Round Table meetings His undoubted generosity to others in the hobby make him a very worthy person to be awarded this prestigious trophy.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Jack Wylie Memorial<\/h2>\n<p>Nominated by the <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/about-us\/board-of-directors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">RSGB Board<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gmdx.org.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">GMDX Group<\/a><br \/>\nto the Scottish club, society or RSGB member thought to have done the most for amateur radio in Scotland during the past year.<\/p>\n<p>Awarded to <strong>Gavin Taylor, GM0GAV<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Gavin is a keen DX Chaser and contester based near Perth, where he has built a well-equipped station. He is very active in the DXCC Challenge programme where he is one of the few UK participants to achieve the 3,000-point level. He has also been the organiser of many successful DXpeditions.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>More recently, he has been involved in the SOTA programme where has achieved Mountain Goat status.
