CLOSED<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!--\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Our thanks to everyone who participated in the nominations process this year<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n&nbsp;\n\n&nbsp;\n\n<strong>For the 2018 and 2019 elections we successfully used an online nominations system on the RSGB website, and we are doing so again in 2020<\/strong>\n\nThese instructions explain how the system works.\n\nPlease also read carefully the candidate packs which can be found below.\n\n\n<h3>Candidate pack<\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n<ul>\n physical signed record of each candidate\u2019s acceptance of the obligations associated with the post they seek election to.<\/blockquote>\n\n\nNote that the Company Secretary is permitted under the <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/about-us\/memorandum-of-association\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Bylaws<\/strong><\/a> to remove any defamatory or misleading statements in written statements, and to shorten any statements which exceed the word limits.\n\nOtherwise written statements will be published verbatim.\n\nWhen we receive the email, we will reply by sending you a personal link which allows nominators to nominate you via this web site\u2014this is a simple process.\n\n\n<h3>Nomination Society<\/td>\n\n\n<\/tr>\n\n\n<\/tbody>\n\n\n<\/table>\n\n\nPlease note that we will only list the required number of nominators names in <em>Radcom<\/em> or other publications\u2014if you have more nominators than the required number we will try, if time permits, to allow you to select the ones you wish to use.\n\n\n<h3>Nomination process<\/h3>\n\n\nGive the person you wish to nominate you an email or hardcopy note which contains the nominator's link specific to you.\n\nWhen the nominator uses that link they will be required to log into RSGB Membership Services using their usual username and password.\n\nWhen they access the page, they are asked to confirm their nomination, and once they have clicked confirm the nomination is completed.\n\nThe system then sends both you and your nominator an email to confirm the nomination has been accepted.\n\nPlease note the Bylaws require that someone can only make nominations for the number of Board Directors for which there are vacancies as part of this process.\n\nIf there is a vacancy in the Region in which they live they may also nominate a Regional Representative separately.\n\nOnce a nomination is made it cannot normally be withdrawn or amended.\n\n\n<h3>Photo<\/h3>\n\n\nYou are requested to supply a recent passport style, head-and-shoulders photo in JPG format\u2014this will be published in <em>Radcom<\/em> and on the RSGB website.\n\n\n<h3>Acceptance of nomination<\/h3>\n\n\nWhen you have received the relevant number of nominations, and we have received a hard copy of your Candidate form and the your photo, the Company Secretary will email you to confirm that you have been validly nominated.\n\nIf time permits, he will share with you the text which will be published in <em>Radcom<\/em>.\n\n\n<h3>Timing<\/h3>\n\n\nThe nomination process ends at <strong>2359hrs on 31 January 2020<\/strong>.\n\nLate candidate forms and nominations will not be accepted.\n\nBecause you need to be accepted as a candidate before you can be nominated please submit the candidate form as soon as possible.\n\n\n<h3>Data protection<\/h3>\n\n\nWe will use the data you have provided us with as follows\u2014\n\n\n<ul>\n \t\n\n<li>Name and call sign and what you put in your CV and statement will normally be published verbatim in <em>Radcom<\/em> and on the Society\u2019s
