The SIG Manager role supports the approximately 100 other affiliated national clubs, societies and special interest groups, which encourage a diverse range of amateur radio interests.<\/p>\n<p>My aims are to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Make contact with all groups and discuss how the RSGB can better support them.<\/li>\n<li><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-33758 size-thumbnail\" title=\"SIG News is a regular RadCom feature\" src=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/files\/2024\/01\/special-interest-150x58.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"58\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/files\/2024\/01\/special-interest-150x58.png 150w, https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/files\/2024\/01\/special-interest-300x117.png 300w, https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/files\/2024\/01\/special-interest.png 698w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/>Encourage the national clubs, societies and special interest groups to submit material for possible publication in RadCom &#8211; \u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/files\/2024\/01\/Special-Interest-Group-news.pdf\">SIG news<\/a><\/strong> (example)<\/li>\n<li>Encourage more groups to have a visible presence at the National Hamfest, RSGB Convention and other major rallies in the UK.<\/li>\n<li>Work towards the\u00a0Society\u2019s strategic priorities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Terms of Reference<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To be appointed by and to advise <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/about-us\/board-of-directors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the Board<\/a> on the development of amateur interests of the National Affiliated Clubs, Societies and Special Interest Groups<\/li>\n<li>Support RSGB strategies<\/li>\n<li>To keep the Board up to date on a regular basis via the Board Liaison<\/li>\n<li>To produce an annual report for presentation to the Board<\/li>\n<li>Through the appointment the post holder accepts the RSGB\u2019s Ethos and follows the <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/about-us\/rsgb-code-of-conduct\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">RSGB\u2019s code of conduct and ethos<\/a><\/li>\n<li>The tenure is initially for six months, followed by a period of up to three years renewable by mutual agreement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Honorary Officer \u2013 Affiliated National Societies and Special Interest Groups The primary role of the Honorary Officer for Affiliated National Societies and Special Interest Groups (SIGs) is to champion their interests and to develop a closer relationship between them and the RSGB, and the amateurs they represent.
