23cm\/Galileo<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr width=\"80%\" \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>WRC-19 Agenda Items of interest to Amateur Radio are:-<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>AI-1.1:<\/strong> to consider an <strong>allocation of the frequency band 50-54 MHz to the amateur service in\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Region 1<\/strong>, in accordance with Resolution 658<\/li>\n<li><strong>AI-1.7:<\/strong> to study the spectrum needs for telemetry, tracking and command in the space operation\u00a0service for <strong>non-GSO satellites with short duration missions<\/strong>, to assess the suitability of existing\u00a0allocations to the space operation service and, if necessary, to consider new allocations, in\u00a0accordance with Resolution 659<\/li>\n<li><strong>AI-1.12:<\/strong> to consider possible global or regional harmonized frequency bands, to the maximum\u00a0extent possible, for the implementation of evolving Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) under\u00a0existing mobile-service allocations, in accordance with Resolution 237<\/li>\n<li><strong>AI-1.13:<\/strong> to consider identification of <strong>frequency bands for the future development of International\u00a0Mobile Telecommunications (IMT)<\/strong>, including possible additional allocations to the mobile service\u00a0on a primary basis, in accordance with Resolution 238<\/li>\n<li><strong>AI-1.15:<\/strong> to consider identification of frequency bands for use by administrations for the landmobile\u00a0and fixed services applications operating in the frequency range <strong>275-450 GHz<\/strong>, in\u00a0accordance with Resolution 767<\/li>\n<li><strong>AI-1.16:<\/strong> to consider issues related to wireless access systems, including radio local area networks\u00a0(WAS\/RLAN), in the frequency bands <strong>between 5150 MHz and 5925 MHz<\/strong>, and take the\u00a0appropriate regulatory actions, including additional spectrum allocations to the mobile service, in\u00a0accordance with Resolution 239<\/li>\n<li><strong>AI 8:<\/strong> to consider and take appropriate action on requests from administrations to delete their country footnotes or to have their country name deleted from footnotes, if no longer required<\/li>\n<li><strong>AI 9.1.6:\u00a0Wireless power transmissions (WPT):\u00a0<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>a) to assess the impact of WPT for electric vehicles on radiocommunication services;<\/li>\n<li>b) to study suitable harmonized frequency ranges which would minimize the impact on radiocommunication services from WPT for electrical vehicles;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>AI 9.1.8:\u00a0Machine-type communications (M2M):<\/strong>\u00a0to study the technical and operational aspects of radio networks and systems, as well as spectrum needed, including possible harmonized use of spectrum to support the implementation of narrowband and broadband machine-type communication infrastructures, in order to develop Recommendations, Reports and\/or Handbooks, as appropriate, and to take appropriate actions within the ITU Radiocommunication Sector (ITU-R) scope of work.<\/li>\n<li><strong>AI 10:<\/strong> <strong>possible agenda items for future conferences<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In addition the following preliminary Agenda items for WRC-23 (in 2023) are also of interest:-<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>AI-2.2:<\/strong> to conduct, and complete in time for WRC-23, studies for a possible new allocation to\u00a0the Earth exploration-satellite (active) service for spaceborne radar sounders within the range of\u00a0frequencies <strong>around 45 MHz<\/strong>, taking into account the protection of incumbent services, in\u00a0accordance with Resolution 656 \/ COM6\/4<\/li>\n<li><strong>AI-2.3:<\/strong> in accordance with Resolution 657 \/ \u00a0COM6\/5 (WRC-15), to review the results of studies\u00a0relating to the technical and operational characteristics, spectrum requirements and appropriate\u00a0radio service designations for <strong>space weather sensors<\/strong>, with a view to providing appropriate\u00a0recognition and protection in the Radio Regulations without placing additional constraints on\u00a0incumbent services;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The ITU World Radio Conference in 2019 (WRC-19) has a number of Agenda Items (AIs) that are relevant to the amateur and amateur satellite services.
